The Black Commentator Identifies the "Point Man" for the GOP
The Black Commentator (www.blackcommentator.com) has identified the African-American "Point Man" for the GOP. As surmised, the Congressperson is a card-carrying member of the DLC. Ugh.
Read about it here:

Just when I thought this "brother" saw the light, too.

No big surprise. HF Jr is the son of Harold Ford, a US congressman from Memphis who was as corrupt and unethical as anyone working for Tom DeLay. The Ford family got its start in Memphis as ambulance-chasing funeral parlor directors, haunting hospital wards and literally jamming business cards into the hands of the not-quite dead.
The Democratic power structure in Memphis is largely controlled by African-Americans; unfortunately, these particular Memphis pols have long proven that corruption knows no color boundaries.
The first time Harold Ford popped up on my radar was when he challenged House Minority Leader nancy Pelosi. Read this gushing profile of him from this Dec 10 Time article. http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,397281,00.html
This clown's a Republican in all but official party affiliation. http://www.issues2000.org/House/Harold_Ford.htm
Personally I'm sick of this Democratic Party "big tent" nonsense. It's one thing to let the Elephants in the tent once in awhile, it's another to feed them.
I understand from the editor of Black Commentator that the Congressman is very upset at this exposure and demanded a retraction. My question is: how can you demand a retraction of the truth?
Maybe it is the portrait illustration Ford is upset about. In any event, I also wonder how the truth can be retracted. I commend the Black Commentator for holding black elected officials accountable and keeping the public informed.
You are correct; we need to support publications like Black Commentator for keeping our Black elected officials honest.
That portrait of him is no worse than the one Black Commentator did on Janice Rogers Brown a few months back. You can see it in the past issues; it's titled "Clarence Thomas in a Fright Wig"; it's the one that gave Orrin Hatch a coniption during Ms. Brown's Senate Confirmation hearing last year, LOL
Why is he upset about the portrait? I thought it was accurate, LOL
For the most part, laser detectors offer a faster lock-on time, which averages around one-third of a second. The laser beams are confined to a limited spread, usually around six feet for about 2,000 feet of space. This allows the beams to be recognized more quickly, giving the driver more advanced notice.
